We’re honored to contribute Southern Living plants to the Southern Living Idea House every year, and this year, we were thrilled to learn about the outdoor and green living focus of the home, opening this week for tours in the Leiper’s Fork area of Tennessee, just 30 miles south of downtown Nashville.
This year’s Idea House was designed by Bill Holloway and Luke Sippel of Lake and Land Studio in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and Laura Hodges of Laura Hodges Studio in Catonsville, Maryland with sustainability in mind, and the landscape design by Butch Hamby of Southern Creations Landscaping in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, carries the sustainability focus into the outdoor living spaces. Lucky touring visitors will experience the herb-and-vegetable garden sowed to encourage farm-to-table dining and a variety of outdoor spaces planted with easy-care Southern Living plants to use less water and energy.
