Looking to add flare to your table this Thanksgiving? Well, look no further!
Create your own fall centerpiece by following these easy steps.
Step 1: Cut the oasis to fit your container accordingly, and soak in a tub of water for 10-15 minutes.
Tip: never force your oasis into water; let it gradually soak in the water to reduce the amount of air pockets.
Step 2: If necessary, line your container with a small Ziploc bag to prevent any water from leaking onto your table.
Step 3: Stack oasis bricks in your container. Starting in the center, place the Dragon Prince Cryptomeria branches into your oasis in the shape of a star.
Step 4: Next, fill in with the holiday berries. Allow the berries to cascade over the edges of the container.
Step 5: Fill in the empty holes with clipping of Flirt™ Nandina from the Southern Living® Plant Collection.
Step 6: Add in fall foliage in the shape of a triangle.
Step 7: Skewer clementines and place in the centerpiece in the shape of triangle.
Step 8: Place moss on top of the table and then add your centerpiece.
Gardens are filled with lots of freebies this time of year.
Be sure to look around and make use of these for your Thanksgiving décor. If you don’t find exactly what you’re looking for, don’t be shy and ask your neighbors if you can peek around their garden!
When Thanksgiving is over, don’t throw away those clementines. They are great for making potpourri!
If you visit my house this time of year, there’s a small copper pot that always sits on my stove filled with homemade potpourri.
Simply cut clementines in half, add one cup of apple juice, 2 cinnamon sticks, a pinch of cloves and two cups of water. Simmer on low for one hour and your home will smell like the holidays.
