Recently, I spoke at Southern Living’s “Taste of Charleston” and was able to share my love for fall flower arrangements and entertaining made easy. Like most people during this busy season, I’m engrossed in other aspects of preparation and entertaining and don’t have much time to make centerpieces. That’s why I’ve put together this charming creation that only takes 10 minutes!
Remember, floral centerpieces don’t have to be perfect, so there’s no need to stress over the placement of each individual flower. You can save those worries for the accompanying meal! This quick and easy floral design is a tried and true recipe that will give you a tantalizing centerpiece every time!
Here’s how to get the look:
Step 1: Soak the oasis in water. Remember: Do not force the oasis into the water; allow it to absorb the water slowly.
Step 2: Ensure your container is lined with plastic to prevent water from leaking.
Step 3: Place three sunflowers down the center of the oasis.
Step 4: Anchor each corner of the arrangement with berries and then fill in along the sides of the arrangement with a cluster of berries.
Step 5: Last, fill in any empty spaces with cuttings of Obsession™ Nandina.
How quick and easy was that? Now you have my secret recipe for instant centerpiece success! Simply repeat this process with any flower:
Fresh Flowers + Bright Berries + Foliage = Deliciously Stunning Centerpiece
Note: Be sure to keep this arrangement fresh by adding water every day. Fresh flowers and foliage are quite thirsty!
